Thai massage would not be what it is today without the influence
of Master Pichest Boonthamme, Master Poo, and their relationships with the
teachings of Thai massage at the Old
Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai, Thailand. All the most influential teachers, including the late Asokananda
(Harald Brust), in some way have to thank the Old Medicine movement for their
craft.
Jason
and Noji, both long-time apprentices of Master Pichest, will lead this
intensive into better understanding the Thai concepts of "protection"
and "energy blocks," and their extremely effective Thai massage
methods for sensing and clearing blocked energy from the body.
This 10-day workshop gives the practitioner a unique opportunity
to make a profound shift in cultural perspective, with a deeper authentic participation
in the layered practice of the Thai healing art.
You will learn a full-body, step-by-step Thai massage sequence
created by Master Pichest, with a strong introduction to the therapeutics of
Thai Sen lines by Master Poo.
Jason and Noji's passionate dedication to the healing arts will
make it easy for everyone to explore Thai massage more deeply
while also bringing the elements of joy and humor to this
workshop.
